I want to help others experience what I have with Pilates: a pain-free, healthier life. Pilates is more than an exercise program– it’s a way of life. Many people come to Pilates because they want stronger abdominal muscles or increased flexibility; Pilates can help in achieving those goals while offering so much more. Strengthening, realigning the body, and improving concentration and focus are benefits that transfer to all other aspects of life.

I love seeing my clients make breakthroughs and complete exercises with beautiful control that they first thought was impossible. Pilates has the power to transform not only one’s body but one’s mind as well. It is a privilege to be a part of those transformations!
Pilates is safe for all body types and levels of activity. I have worked with a wide variety of people: from teenagers to a 90 year old woman, from dancers to those addressing chronic pain or recovering from surgery.
I love to move and I love to dance. My first encounter with Pilates actually came as the result of a severe dance injury. I visited several doctors and none of them could find a reasonable explanation for my pain. I began doing Pilates from the recommendation of a professor; through regular practice my pain disappeared completely.
My husband and I moved to Fort Collins in 2014 from central Wisconsin. We love the city and all the new people we get to meet! We just welcomed our first child, Adelaide Rosemary, into the world this past summer. She has added so much joy to our lives!
It was great! The small room had all the equipment we needed, and the small class size allowed the instructor to watch us all closely and help us get a maximized workout. She was attentive and polite, a friendly professional who was invested in our performance while maintaining a respectful distance. We could see that she had studied extensively in the field because she told us how each stretch worked and how it helped us. My classmates all had slightly different needs and strengths which all factored in how she tailored our session activities.
I’m 65 and have been having leg pain for the last three years. It has tentatively been diagnosed (just based on the symptoms) as either sciatica or spinal stenosis. Imaging hasn’t shown anything definitive. I’ve been trying to address this for the last three years in various ways without any progress. Back surgery has been recommended several times but I’m not going there. I’ve been doing private Pilate lessons with Liz for the last five months and I’m finally seeing some improvement. I am now much more mobile and can walk further that I have been able to for some time. My balance is markedly improved. I would highly recommend Liz. She brings a breadth of expertise to our sessions.
Liz has been able to work with my physical limitations during our Pilates privates. I have spinal fusions, herniated disks and a serious knee injury. I found Liz through her great reviews on Google and have been very happy doing two privates a week. She is very careful to help me strengthen and tone my body while keeping me safe. She’s very knowledgeable about all of the equipment and keeps it interesting and fun. I really recommend Liz!
I was able to have two Pilates sessions with Liz before she moved to Fort Collins. She gave me a great workout each time. When I didn’t understand a certain move, she found several different ways to explain it to me until I got it right. Liz was very patient with me and would not let me give up. I felt great in what I was able to accomplish by the end of the session. I would highly recommend E.L.Pilates.
Elizabeth is great! I started working with her several months ago, wanting to strengthen my core to hopefully support an old back injury that had never really healed and had been bothering me a lot. My back has improved SO much since then, but I’m also significantly stronger all over! It is truly a full body workout, and I love seeing all the new definition in my arms and legs. Equipment Pilates is just plain fun too! It’s the only workout I’ve ever done that I can see myself sticking with forever, just because I love it! I look forward to our sessions every week like I look forward to the weekends, and would highly recommend E.L. Pilates to anyone who wants to kick their workout up a notch, and especially to anyone with injuries!
